2024 Cornhole TournamentRegister Your Team Here

Caring, qualified nursery staff and volunteers minister in our Sprouts nursery program for children infants to age 3. The nursery is available for families during our 8:30 AM Worship Service, 9:45 AM Sunday School hour, and 10:45 AM Worship Service. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where young children and families can see the love of the Lord communicated through the care and secure environment of our Sprouts nursery. Changing tables are located in the family bathroom and the Nursing Mother’s room near the Connection Cafe.

Sunday School

Sunday School is available for kids age 5 through 5th Grade. The Nursery will be available during the Sunday School hour for children age 4 and under.

Beginners & Kids Church

Our kids aged 4 through 5th Grade Kids start the morning in the Sanctuary with their families. Midway through the service, children are dismissed prior to the sermon for Beginners Church (Ages 4 through Kindergarten) and Kids Church (1st through 5th Grades). Kids Church is a large-group ministry for kids that gathers during the sermon time of the 10:45 am service. Kids church includes worship, a Bible-based lesson, games, and activities. Parents and guardians can check in and pick up their kids in our Kids Ministry Area on the lower level.

Be sure to pre-register online so you can use our secure child check-in system when your family arrives.

Family Meal (5:15 pm)

Every Wednesday evening before Kids Club gets underway we share a family meal together in the gym located in our Community Life Center. Bring the whole family and take the night off from having to prepare dinner. Our Family Meal is a great way to meet other families and to get connected at E-Free Bemidji.

How do I register my child for E-Free Kids?

If you're planning to have your children join us for Sunday morning or Wednesday evening Kids Min activities, we ask that you pre-register online so that your household is set up in our system.

Registration is quick, easy, and ensures that we have accurate contact information on file for you, and so that we are aware of any special needs, allergies, or medical information that you want us to be aware of.

What practices are in place to ensure safety and security?

We take the safety and security of your children very seriously. We go to these measures so that you may know that your kids are in good hands when they come to E-Free Bemidji.

  • Teachers, nursery workers, and volunteers over 18 years old have all been screened with a background check and approved to volunteer by a church staff member.
  • We require two or more pre-screened volunteers per classroom.
  • We utilize a secure child check-in system to ensure our kids' safety (see below).

How do I use the secure child check-in system?

Parents and guardians are encouraged to pre-register their household prior to participating on Sunday morning or Wednesday evening.

Pre-register for E-Free Kids

When you arrive, stop by one of our three self-check-in kiosks to let us know you're onsite:

  • Main Entrance Foyer Check-in Kiosk (located near our Welcome Center)
  • Community Life Center Entrance Foyer Kiosk (located next to the Gym/Multi-purpose Room)
  • Lower Level Kids Min Area Station (located outside the Kids Assembly Room)

Begin by entering the last four digits of your phone number and selecting your household.

Select the check box next to each child you are checking in. Please note that our check-in is only for children in 5th grade and younger.

Be sure to choose the correct event and classroom location for each child by pressing the pencil icon. This selection will default the next time you check your child in.

In the dropdown box at the bottom of the page, select the parent, guardian, or pre-authorized trusted adult completing the check-in.

When finished, press the blue Check-in button. A nametag label will print for each child along with a parent/guardian security label. Keep this label for checkout.

Parents/guardians are asked to accompany their child to their classroom and are asked to meet their child back at their classroom at the end of the event to check out.

Parents wishing to authorize a non-household family member or trusted adult for check-in and check-out need to contact the church office.

Does E-Free Bemidji baptize children?

Many Christian leaders throughout history have endorsed infant baptism, and we should respect their beliefs. The New Testament, however, indicates that repentance and faith are to precede baptism; therefore, the practice of believer’s baptism seems more in keeping with that teaching.

A child should have a good understanding of what baptism represents. We should keep in mind, however, that baptism is the outward act that signifies inner change. If a child is able to make a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ, then that child is old enough to be baptized.

Child Dedication

We believe that a local church body should commit to helping disciple the next generation. At a Child Dedication service, parents or guardians publicly commit to raising their children in the Lord. This service is not baptism nor is it a guarantee or evidence of a child's faith in Jesus Christ.
