On Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour, students will meet in the 5:11 Room to fellowship and discuss their weeks. This is a time when they can be open about the real things going on in their lives and ask questions in a safe place. We help encourage each other, go to Scripture together, and pray for each other. Donuts are usually involved. Student Life Group runs from September through May.
Every Wednesday evening before Youth Group gets underway we share a family meal together in the gym located in our Community Life Center. Bring the whole family and take the night off from having to prepare dinner. Our Family Meal is a great way to meet other families and to get connected at E-Free Bemidji.
Wednesday night youth group is a time when students can gather together for fun, fellowship, worship, and learning about Jesus. Youth group is for students in 6th grade through 12th grade. We start with announcements of upcoming events and lead into worship with our student-led band. We then split Middle and High school. High school will go play a game together while Middle school stays in the youth room and hears a message from Pastor Douglas directed towards them. Then, High school comes in to hear the same message, but geared towards an older audience while Middle school goes to small groups based on gender and grade and discusses what they just heard. Middle school will then end with a game time while High schoolers go off to their small groups.
Each fall, we attend a weekend-long camp at Camp Shamineau in Motley, MN for their Fall Fling event. This is a weekend filled with worship, challenging messages, fellowship, and fall fun. This year, we are attending Fall Fling September 29th – October 1st. Students must sign up before September 20th. More information can be found at the parent resource table outside the gym or by contacting Pastor Douglas.
Starting in 2024, EFCB Student Ministry will be hosting our very own youth conference. The Headwaters Youth Conference will take place February 16th and 17th. For more information, please click on the More Information button below.
Throughout the year, we will have a number of other events planned through EFCB Student Ministry. These range from our Superb Owl Party (not a typo) to our Alternative Prom to our Apologetic Lock-In Conference. Events will be announced at Youth Group. For more information, please contact Pastor Douglas.
