Life Group Questions for the Week of April 14, 2024
Apr 14, 2024 |
1. Read Romans 15:23-33. In verse 23, Paul mentions longing for many years to visit the church in Rome. Is there a particular ministry location that you are longing to visit? What might it take to actually get you there?
2. What are some of the ways that Paul invited other believers to partner with him in ministry? What are some other ways that we can partner in gospel ministry?
3. What kinds of struggles have you seen Christians join in together for the sake of the gospel? What motivated them to join in this struggle?
4. Does it surprise you at all how much Paul focused on helping believers in financial need? See Romans 15:25-26; 2 Corinthians 8:7; and Galatians 2:9-10.
5. In verses 30-31, Paul urges them to join him in his struggle by praying to God for him. Given all that we know about Paul’s supernatural encounters with God, his confidence in his call to ministry, and the many signs and wonders that he performed, what do you think his request for prayer support should teach us?
6. In verse 32, Paul says that he’s looking forward to being refreshed in their company. Back in Romans 1:11-12 he mentioned being mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. In what ways have you experienced this kind of mutual refreshment? How do you think we could help this happen more and more?
