1. If you were at church Sunday, what was your favorite part of the Christmas Cantata service and why?

2. Read Luke 2:1-5. Why do you think it might be important that God’s plan of salvation unfolded within actual events of human history? (See Micah 5:2 and Galatians 4:4-5)

3. Read Luke 2:6-7. How might it help our faith to know that we have a humble Savior who is an approachable King? (See 2 Corinthians 8:9)

4. Read Luke 2:8-14. Why might it be important for us to realize that “all the people” in verse 10 even includes the shepherds out in the field?

5. What are some things that verse 11 teaches us about Jesus? Why do these matter? (See Luke 1:32-33)

6. Read Luke 2:15-20. These verses describe 3 reactions to Jesus’ birth: curiosity, praise and amazement, and spreading the good news. Which of these do you want to experience more this Christmas season and why?
