Life Group Questions for the Week of January 26, 2025

Jan 26, 2025 |

1. Some people are passionate about things like sports or politics or Star Wars, others are passionate about their family or their business or something else. What’s something that you’re passionate about, and how can people tell?

2. Read Romans 12:11. Sometimes people in sales, or preachers, or protestors can be too pushy and “in your face.” Share about a time when you felt a bit bowled over or pressured by someone who was overly passionate about their cause. With this in mind, how do you think a Christian’s evangelistic passion should shine through?

3. As you read Acts 4:23-31, what do you think may have prompted these Christ-followers to pray for boldness in verse 29? (Also consider the surrounding context of Acts 4, including verses 8, 13, 18-20, and 32.) What would it take for you to sincerely pray for this kind of boldness?

4. Our church’s Discipleship Pathway has 4 Gospel G’s: GATHER, GROW, GIVE, GO. Would you agree that local churches tend to be better at the first 3 G’s? Discuss. (Consider 1 Corinthians 9:19)

5. This week’s message mentioned several ways to increase our evangelistic passion and embolden our Christian witness. Which of these do you think might be most helpful? What might you add to this list?

6. If anyone in your Life Group would like to, invite them to share their testimony of faith (1 Peter 3:15). If anyone heard David Anderson’s testimony on the Deeply Devoted Podcast, what did you think?
