1. Read Romans 12:1-2. What’s one of your hopes, dreams, or goals for 2024? How might you be able to worship God with that part of your life?
2. Romans 12:1 begins by urging us, “in view of God’s mercy.” How do you think God’s mercy in the preceding 11 chapters connects with our Christian living in chapters 12 and following?
3. What are some specific examples of how we can offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God? Why are reverent obedience and holy living important in the Christian life? (See Romans 1:5 and 6:13)
4. Share some examples of how this world pressures us to conform to its pattern. What strategies have you found helpful in resisting the world’s pressure to conform?
5. Why do you think renewing our minds is so important to our transformation? What are some specific ways that we can renew our minds? (Consider Psalm 119:9-16 and 2 Corinthians 10:5)
6. Once we’ve tested and approved what God’s good, pleasing and perfect will is, how can we actually do it? (See Romans 8:26-27 and John 14:15-17)
