Life Group Questions for the Week of March 16, 2025

Mar 16, 2025 |

1. Are you someone who adapts well to change, or do you find change difficult? Share with your group about a time when you had to navigate a significant change.

2. Read Luke 5:33-39. In what ways might people today wrestle with who Jesus is and what makes him different? What “bucket” would you have put Jesus in before you started following him?

3. Would you rather speak at a wedding or share a eulogy at a celebration of life/funeral service? How would you describe the difference in atmosphere between these two events?

4. In what sense is the method, message, and ministry of Jesus (the gospel) something new? What impact has Jesus had on your life? How would you answer the question “What’s new with you?”

5. If your Bible has a concordance, or if you can search in a digital Bible, look up some of the uses of the word “new.” How is the word “new” used? How do these occurrences relate to Luke 5:33-39?

6. Read Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 8:6-7, 13. According to these passages, what makes the new covenant “new”?

7. Why might someone say, “The old is better” (v. 39)? What are the dangers that come with this attitude?
