Mar 22, 2026 |
1. If you could learn a skill from any expert (living, dead, real, or fictional), what would you want to learn and who would be your teacher?
2. Read Luke 11:1, then look at Luke 3:21; 5:16; 6:12; and 9:18, 28. What do you notice about Jesus’ prayer habits?
3. When you pray, do you have a particular time and place that works for you? What doesn’t work for you when it comes to spending time in prayer?
4. Read Luke 11:2-4. This is a familiar prayer, but take a minute and make some observations together as a group about this prayer, even if you think they are obvious. What do you see?
5. Read Luke 11:5-13. How can keeping our focus on the Father help us to not view prayer simply as a means to get what we need/want? When are you most tempted to do this?
6. Have you ever thought of the Lord’s Prayer as something impossible to pray apart from Christ? How does Jesus’ fulfillment of every phrase of this prayer provide us not only with words to pray, but also the ability to do so? How might that shape your prayer life?
