Life Group Questions for the Week of November 10, 2024
Nov 10, 2024 |
1. What comes to your mind when you think of John the Baptist?
2. Read Luke 1:5-25. What seems special to you about Zechariah and Elizabeth, and what seems fairly normal? How might their example of obedience, and waiting for God to answer their prayers for a child, help us in our journey of becoming deeply devoted followers of Jesus?
3. Verse 17 says that John the Baptist would go on before the Lord to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. How would you explain his ministry as a “forerunner” of Jesus? (See Luke 1:16-17; Malachi 4:5-6; 3:1)
4. In verse 13, why do you think it’s important for us to read that Zechariah’s prayer has been heard? In verse 25, why do you think it’s important that Elizabeth credited her pregnancy as something that the Lord had done for her?
5. In Luke 1:25, Elizabeth says, “The Lord has done this for me.” What is something in your own life about which you could say the same?
