1. In Romans 9:11, Paul mentions “God’s purpose in election.” How would you define the doctrine of election? Do you kind of wish that Paul had skipped over this part?

2. How might you define “dynamic tension”? Why do you think the tension between God’s sovereignty and human responsibility might be a good thing for us?
