1. What comes to your mind when you hear the word “remnant”? How would you describe what “The Remnant” is referring to in Romans 11?

2. Read Romans 10:21 through 11:1. How do you think Paul’s personal testimony reveals God’s faithfulness to Israel? (Also consider Acts 21:19-20)

3. Romans 11:2 refers to God’s limitless foreknowledge. How do you think God’s foreknowledge might reveal His faithfulness throughout human history? How might it relate to His gracious choosing of a remnant?

4. Read Romans 11:2-4. In verse 3, Elijah says, “I am the only one left.” Have you ever felt this way in your own faith? How might knowing that God always reserves a remnant encourage you?

5. Read Romans 11:5-6. When do you think grace would no longer be grace?

6. Read Romans 11:7-10. How might God’s faithfulness be revealed by Him electing a remnant, despite humanity’s ongoing hardheartedness? (Consider this in light of Romans 10:21)
