1. Read Romans 12:1-11. Regarding verse 1, what are some examples of “true and proper worship,” other than our Sunday morning service?
2. What spiritual gifts are listed in verses 6-8? Try to give an example of how you’ve seen each one of these gifts used by someone who loves Jesus.
3. What is one of your favorite ways of serving God and why? Who are some of your “servant heroes” who’ve now gone home to heaven? (See Hebrews 12:1-3; 2 Timothy 4:7-8)
4. What advice might you give a believer who isn’t really serving God right now? What are some ways that we could inspire one another or spur one another on in love and good deeds? (Hebrews 10:24; Ephesians 2:10; 4:16)
5. Romans 12:11 says, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” What’s something that’s helped you to keep your spiritual fervor? (See 1 Corinthians 15:58; Galatians 6:9)
6. What motivates you or encourages you to give your financial and physical resources toward God’s work? What have you found helpful in determining how much to give, when to give, and to whom you give? (Matthew 6:19-21; Proverbs 3:9)
